2009 Senior Expo in Kennett Square

On Friday, September 11, 2009, I hosted my second annual Chester County Senior Expo at the Red Clay Room, in Kennett Square.  The event was a tremendous success with well over 400 seniors attending.  More than 45 exhibitors from federal, state, county and local agencies were also on hand offering information on programs of interest to seniors. Additionally, there were free health screenings, refreshments and door prizes.

The sponsors included Basciani Foods, Chester Water Authority, Comcast, First National Bank of Chester County, Genesis Healthcare Corporation, Kennett Area YMCA, Kennett Square Senior Center, Krapf Coaches, and Sher-Rockee Mushroom Farms.

This Senior Expo was well received and I look forward to bringing this event back to the area again next year.
