2008 Senior Expo in Aston

On the morning of Friday, May 30, I welcomed nearly 700 seniors to my 6th Annual Senior Expo. The event was held in the Life Center Building at Neumann College in Aston. More than 65 exhibitors from federal, state, county, and local agencies participated, providing information on a wide variety of services available for seniors. AARP, Crozer-Keystone Health Systems, Riddle Memorial Hospital, Senior Victim Services, and the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office each sent representatives to meet and speak with area seniors. Music for the event was provided by the Summit Hill Bluegrass Band. Generous sponsors, including Aqua Pennsylvania, Chester Water Authority, the Conoco Phillips Trainer Refinery, Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union and PECO. Neumann College deserves special thanks for once again hosting this event.

The Senior Expo continues to be well received, and I look forward to bringing this event to the 9th District again next year.
