2008 Senior Expo in Kennett Square

On Friday, September 12, 2008, I welcomed nearly 400 seniors to my Senior Expo at the Red Clay Room in Kennett Square. More than 45 exhibitors from federal, state, county and local agencies were in attendance offering information on programs of interest to seniors. Additionally, there were free health screenings, refreshments and door prizes.

Music for the event was provided by the Summit Hill Bluegrass Band. The sponsors included Basciani Foods, Chester Water Authority, Comcast, Genesis Healthcare Inc., Kennett Area YMCA, Kennett Square Senior Center, Krapf Coaches, Penn Brew Station and Sher-Rockee Mushroom Farms.

This Senior Expo was well received and I look forward to bringing this event back to the area again next year.
