Senator Pileggi to Host Kids' Fun Fair on Oct. 20 at
Sun Valley High School in Aston

Senate Majority Leader Dominic Pileggi (R-9) is inviting kids of all ages and their families to attend his Kids' Fun Fair on Saturday, Oct. 20. The event is offered free of charge as a community service and will be held rain or shine at Sun Valley High School in Aston from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This event promises to be an enjoyable family experience with a variety of programs, music, entertainment, and educational exhibits. The Philadelphia Zoo will present its Zoo on Wheels "Outrageous Reptiles" program, and the Franklin Institute will offer its Traveling Science Show. "These programs are fun, interactive and educational experiences," said Sen. Pileggi. "Children love them and learn from them."

The Kids' Fun Fair will also feature representatives from state and local agencies who will provide valuable information on programs and benefits available to families and children.

Representatives from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA), the Tuition Account Program (TAP), the Liquor Control Board, PennDOT, the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office, the Delaware County Sheriff's office, and local fire and police departments are among the scheduled exhibitors. Additionally, the Children Identification Program provided by the Pennsylvania Masonic Youth Foundation will be on hand to take children's fingerprints, a public safety measure designed to help authorities in the event a child is missing or kidnapped.

Other activities include face-painting, a "moon bounce," and refreshments.

For more information about the Kids' Fun Fair, please contact Senator Pileggi's district office at (610) 447-5845 or email Michelle Lewis at mlewis@pasen.gov.
