Senator Pileggi to Host "Student Guide To State Government"

(MEDIA) – On Friday, April 27, State Senator Dominic Pileggi (R-9) will host his 4th annual "Student Guide to State Government – A Closer Look" at Widener University in the City of Chester.

The daylong leadership forum brings together more than 120 high school students from the 9th Senatorial District with state legislators, state and local officials, and lobbyists to provide a dynamic, cooperative learning environment.

During the forum students have the opportunity to attend two breakout sessions: "Understanding the Legislative Process" and one session of their own choosing.  Students can choose from topics such as Crime and Punishment, Education, and Health and Welfare.

The breakout sessions provide an opportunity for students to ask questions of the panelists and to let panelists know their opinions on important issues.

Senator Pileggi promises a unique opportunity for students to meet and speak with men and women who are policy- and decision-makers in state government.   If you have any questions about this event please contact Leslie Lobb in Senator Pileggi's Media office at 610-565-9100 or via email at llobb@pasen.gov
