FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Senator Pileggi To Host Emergency Service Workshop on January 19, 2006Media, Pennsylvania State Senator Dominic F. Pileggi (R-9) will host an Emergency Services Workshop on Thursday January 19, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Concordville Inn, located on Route 322 and U.S. 1 in Concordville. The workshop is designed to inform emergency medical services personnel, police and fire personnel, and township's emergency management coordinator's of grant opportunities available through the Commonwealth and its agencies. All participants will receive a desktop reference manual containing a comprehensive listing of the programs featured at the workshop. "Pennsylvania's emergency responders provide life-saving services. They risk their safety to protect our citizens," stated Pileggi. "This workshop will be a valuable opportunity for these public servants to learn ways in which the state can help them do their job." According to Senator Pileggi, guest speakers will include representatives from the Pennsylvania Homeland Security, Bureau of Supplies and Surplus Operations, Delaware County Regional Emergency Medical Services, Governor's Center for Local Government Services, Bureau of Purchases, General Services and the Office of State Fire Commissioner.
