April 29, 2008 - Ms. Karen Ammon and
her daughter, Emily, visited with Senator Pileggi in Harrisburg for the
day. The Ammons were winners of a silent auction sponsored by the
Unionville-Chadds Ford Education Foundation, a non-profit organization
created by a group of parents, dedicated to supporting the education and
development of children in the school district. |

April 25, 2008 –
Senator Pileggi hosted his 5th Annual Student Leadership Forum at
Widener University in Chester. The event brought together students from
numerous high schools in the 9th Senatorial District to discuss and

April 15, 2008 - Fourth grade students from Upland Country Day School in Kennett Square, PA visited the State Capitol in Harrisburg.

April 11, 2008 - Senator Pileggi attended the
ribbon cutting at Chester High School’s newly
renovated College Access Center. The renovations
were made possible by Harrah’s Chester Casino &
Racetrack. The company donated new desktop
computers, a laptop, printer, projector, desk and
furniture. |

April 8, 2008 - Dr. Rosalie Mirenda, President of
Neumann College in Aston, PA and Matthew Nied,
Associate Coordinator of Student Activities (both
seated), and four Neumann College students, Noelle
Stack, Amanda Lau, Jaclyn Giallombardo and Anthony
Sherman, visited Senator Pileggi’s office in
Harrisburg.

April 8, 2008 - Senator Pileggi introduced the Chester High School Boys’
Varsity basketball team, the 2008 PIAA Class AAA State Champions, on the
floor of the Senate on April 8, 2008. The Clippers had an impressive
season record of 33 wins and 1 loss, and are ranked third in the nation
by USA Today and Sports Illustrated

April 8, 2008 - Senator Pileggi congratulated the
coaches of the Chester High School boys basketball team. This is Coach
Fred Pickett’s 3rd Championship, and Chester High School’s 6th State
Championship. Coach Pickett
will retire as head coach this year. (Pictured left to right) Chester

8, 2008 - Four members of the Chester High School girls track team were
recognized by Senator Pileggi for winning the state championship title

Medal for Distinguished Achievement on Behalf of
Higher Education by the Association of Independent
Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania (AICUP). |
