Senator Pileggi

August 21, 2006 – Senator Pileggi presented a check for $300,000 on behalf of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to the Friends of the Chester Creek Branch at their monthly meeting in Aston, Delaware County. The money will help finance a project to convert the unused Chester Creek Branch rail line, extending three miles from the City of Chester through both Aston and Middletown Townships in Delaware County, into a recreational trail. Pictured in the photograph from left to right are: Valerie Fusco, Barry Pinkowicz, Ira Josephs (kneeling), Senator Dominic Pileggi, Councilman Andy Reilly, Carolyn Wallis, Regional Supervisor for DCNR’s Bureau of Recreation and Conservation, Mike Fusco, President of the Friends of Chester Creek Branch, and John Paulson.
