August 21, 2006 – Senator Pileggi presented a check
for $300,000 on behalf of the Department of Conservation
and Natural Resources to the Friends of the Chester Creek
Branch at their monthly meeting in Aston, Delaware County.
The money will help finance a project to convert the
unused Chester Creek Branch rail line, extending three
miles from the City of Chester through both Aston and
Middletown Townships in Delaware County, into a
recreational trail. Pictured in the photograph from left
